My Point of View
Now, I am writing this from my perspective on the movie. I am 15, almost 16, years old. I love animation, but I don't watch that much DreamWorks. I have also not seen the TV show or original movie.
I think the movie is pretty good. The animation is fine, it isn't the best 3D animation, but not the worst. The story line is good. I think most critics are being pretty harsh on the film. It is pretty standard run time for an animated movie, ~1h30m. The score is pretty good, I listen to the soundtrack like once a day at least. The movie had its fun moments, but also had scenes that I didn't know the outcome.
Leave, or skip now if you don't want the ending spoiled
The ending, I loved that even though she is staying, Spirit is still free. At the end, me and my mother talked about the ending. She thought Spirit was going to come back, and that is what she wanted. It was sad seeing Spirit go free, but I think it made the movie better and more emotional.
I would rate it a 4/5 stars, I would love to see it again in theaters, it isn't the best movie I have seen recently, but it is pretty good.
